{"id":1680,"date":"2021-06-01T23:05:00","date_gmt":"2021-06-01T13:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/multisitestaging.onthecoastpublications.com.au\/onthecoastfamilies\/?p=1680"},"modified":"2021-06-29T23:07:24","modified_gmt":"2021-06-29T13:07:24","slug":"central-coast-conservatorium-childrens-choir-to-perform-with-opera-australias-carmen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/multisitestaging.onthecoastpublications.com.au\/onthecoastfamilies\/central-coast-conservatorium-childrens-choir-to-perform-with-opera-australias-carmen\/","title":{"rendered":"Central Coast Conservatorium Children\u2019s Choir to perform with Opera Australia\u2019s Carmen"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Central Coast Conservatorium of Music has been invited to form a Children\u2019s Choir to perform with Opera Australia in their regional tour of \u2018Carmen\u2019 at The Arthouse Wyong on Tuesday 13th July and Wednesday 14th July, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>23 students are involved in the choir, and are going through a weekly choir and performance class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These classes consist of choir training and technique with Artistic Director Patrick Brennan, basics of drama, understanding stage directions and some fun choreographed movement to get the students comfortable with moving on stage with teacher Nicky Castle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The students will learn how to warm up their voices, how to sing together, and how to present with confidence on stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis is an exceptional opportunity for our students to perform with Australia\u2019s largest opera company, and refine not only their musical skills but also their stagecraft,\u201d says Patrick Brennan, Artistic Director of the Central Coast Conservatorium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are delighted to be able to provide this experience to our students,\u201d says Irena Tasevska, General Manager of Central Coast Conservatorium. \u201cThese opportunities are what sets the Conservatorium apart, and enable us to provide the most enriching musical education possible for our students.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tickets will be on sale from the Arthouse Wyong for the performances on Tuesday 13th July and Wednesday 14th July, 2021.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Central Coast Conservatorium of Music has been invited to form a Children\u2019s Choir to perform with Opera Australia in their regional&hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":1681,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[109],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-1680","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news-events"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v16.6.1 -
